I am writing in support of the rezoning of 950 W. 41st as described on Shape Your City. JWest is a community-led development that will deliver a publicly accessible, self-sustaining community campus for Vancouver. The completed campus will include amenities not currently available in the area, including a competition-length pool, a large theatre, and childcare spaces. For more than 60 years, the JCC has been a cornerstone of the Oakridge community and I am confident it will continue to serve and strengthen the neighbourhood for generations to come. This rezoning is essential to the continuing that legacy and ensures the sustainability of the JCC and other nonprofit partners on the campus.
